What full backs should West Ham try to sign?
I think we all agree about the need for new full backs.

So what options are out there?

Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis of Norwich will most likely both be playing premier league football next season, but I suspect they are out of our price range.

That's why I reckon scouting Europe would be a good idea, probably better quality and prices there as I don't think there are many English or British options. Am I missing someone? Probably

Timothy Castagne, Zeki Çelik, Joseba Zaldúa, Bartosz Bereszyński, Kostas Tsimikas and Deyovaisio Zeefuik are options that should be scouted by the club.

Trent Alexander Arnold and Andrew Robertson.

Maybe we can do a swap and for cresswell and Fredericks

I like Tierney at Arsenal...not sure he was first choice but he has played a few games lately...has had a few injuries so it would be just like the Arse to fob us off with a crock but he has that look of a 7 out of 10 player. Reliable init?

Leighton Baines would be good for a season I reckon.

He’d be available. Probably on a free.

A consummate professional who’d be a vast improvement on both Cresswell and Masuaku.

So was Zabaleta but my mum can run faster than him...

I'm not quite sure we should be going for full backs from Norwich.

AE

They have been one of their best players, I know they are relegated but they have played well at times this season. Very young too with potential to improve alot

They might shine in a better team. But of course it would be a gamble. But maybe not worth taking if they go for much, that's why I mentioned the European market

Left back wise although It’s a long shot I wouldn’t mind Danny rose even though he’s a wanker.

Nathaniel Clyne, on a freebie should be a no brainer.

We're linked with Matty Cash at Forest.

Re: What full backs should West Ham try to sign?
Surely some of these suggestions are a joke right?

Clynne - been injured most of his Liverpool career

Danny Rose - only recently said doesn’t want to play football anymore

Tierney - just cost arsenal £25m and they have no cover after kolasanic (sp)

Have to be realistic with these things. Let’s be honest GSB are going to keep costs to an absolute bare minimum.

Robinson from Wigan has a get out fee of £1.5m as part of the administration so he’ll be the left back choice

Matty cash and joe worrall were linked but they’d be over 25m for the pair and relies on Forrest not getting promoted at the same time.

Rb choice for me seems like it will be the South American Montiel getting linked for £7m.

I would personally move on fredericks and replace with Jayden Bogle at Derby, should be doable for £5m

Bogle at RB is a great shout.

"Robinson from Wigan has a get out fee of £1.5m as part of the administration so he’ll be the left back choice"

He's very raw. Wouldn't be dissapointed if we signed him as a second choice though. Way too much of a gamble to put this inexperienced player in the first eleven.

Just read that Burnley's left back Charlie Taylor has one year left on his contract. We could offer him more than Burnley that's for sure. Good player

Re: What full backs should West Ham try to sign?
Robinson wouldn't be my first choice for LB at all, im just trying to put forward an opinion based on absolute minimal spend by GSB.

Another option i would prefer and could possibly be bought for reasonable price is Ryan Manning from QPR, 24 and gets stuck right in.

Re: What full backs should West Ham try to sign?
They might not spend much

But they must see the need for new right and left backs in the first eleven.

It's crucial to address that at least before next season

Robinson does indeed look raw. Decent going for but not sure about his defending capabilities.
Shocking challenge at Barnsley today, should have walked.

Find it incredible how fans of every club want to sign max Aarons or jamal lewis. Both have been utter shit this season. Championship players at best

Declan Rice seems to rate Max Aarons.

Re: What full backs should West Ham try to sign?
That's fine and all that. But is there any evidence of him being a decent Premier league footballer? He doesn't look up to it at all
